The inaugural Event Design Certificate (EDC) Program, a three day immersive course in Event Design, Event Model Generation, San Diego State University and Meeting Professionals International announce the World’s first 14 Certified Event Designers.
The EDC Class of August 2015 and January 2016 were to submit a successful case study to obtain their certificate of achievement 6 months after participating in the program at San Diego State University.

This process should be embraced not just by meeting planners, but business leaders who want real bottom-line impact from their event investment.” according to Ted Mooney, Sr. Director at the Internet Society, having applied the process to a global hybrid event in July which drove him to attend to EDC program with his colleague Nicole Armstrong, CMP, CMM
“Having gone through Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Certified Meeting Manager (CMM) programs, I thought this was my next step in education. EDC takes me a leap forward and the program was outstanding,” Michael Mach, CMP, CMM Conference Program Manager at ISACA.
The second program was held in January 2016 and the next Event Design Certificate Programs have been announced in a new partnership in Europe with the University of Amsterdam where the program will be held 25-27 August 2016. Additional programmes are scheduled for January 2017 at San Diego State University and as well as Canada planned for Summer 2017.
