Expansion in North America for Event Design Collective , Anthony Vade CED appointed Director North America. 

 

Basel, Switzerland / Toronto, Canada 11 December 2020 – Since its launch in 2017, the Event Design Collective has expanded their global footprint through the support of its directors. With the event industry navigating its largest disruption in decades, the collective has seen increased demand for intentional design with measurable outcomes. Combine this need with a massive shift to digital delivery, the entire industry as a renewed and expanded interest in human centric design methods. With 12 countries represented worldwide and availability of the #EventCanvas template in 14 languages, The Event Design Collective believes it’s time to increase the frequency of their education programs and consultation support  in North America.

The Event Design Collective is excited to announce the promotion of Anthony Vade to the position of Director North America.  A long time collective team member supporting Canada, Anthony will be expanding his focus to encompass Canada and the United States. 

In his role he will be responsible for expanding and accelerating adoption of the #EventCanvas design methodology within the region.  Building on its existing 16,000 users, 2,500 trained event professionals and 280 Certified Event Designers (CED).  He will work closely with industry partners, #EventCanvas users and change makers  to help create positive impact in the world through the events they design and implement. 

With over 20 years of experience in event design, production and technology he is uniquely positioned to help the industry develop event strategy and navigate digital transformation.

What is the Event Canvas™?

The #EventCanvas is a tool based on the principles of design thinking applied to events. It is exciting to consciously design events that change the way participants think and behave. Change towards predefined behaviour changes. The fact that it provides a universal language between stakeholders on all levels, is the core advantage of this strategic management template. In the process of designing an event that truly adds value and leaves an impact. The Event Design using the Event Canvas™ methodology involves multiple stakeholders; often to include the meeting owner, the organiser, participants, suppliers and sponsors. It is done by a diverse team, as design thinking is a collaborative process. Providing all involved with a clear, unambiguous narrative that results from the entire process which guides the team like a compass from (strategic) design to execution. 

On regular occasions you can familiarize yourself with this universal methodology through roadshows and EDC Level 1 training. The team can also service clients much faster in their development of tailor-made design projects. Projects that sometimes concern short term goals, yet nowadays with the growing belief in the strategic added value of this methodology the Event Design Collective is often involved in long term event design in order to demonstrate how events create value and give meaning to the strategic goals of the organisation.

About Anthony Vade, CED

Born and raised in Australia, Anthony now calls Toronto, Canada home. Proudly known as an instigator, creator and change agent, for over 20 years he has helped event stakeholders create meaningful and memorable connections with attendees. He has worked with the biggest audiovisual, event tech and event production companies in the industry.  Designing and executing large scale conferences, corporate and entertainment events in virtual, hybrid and live scenarios.

He continues to push experience design boundaries in his role as the North American Director of the Event Design Collective.

Anthony’s consultative and collaborative approach has resulted in thousands of successful events traversing four continents.  He believes the key to his success has been a deep level of trust in the design process and embracing co-creation amongst his community.
